Sooooo Saturday night we headed to Oysters in Strabane to celebrate my good friend Grace’s birthday!
I even had time to get my hair sorted and my makeup done by Shaaaxxo (Shannon who freelances in our salon) although it was good craik doing my clients in between with half my makeup done! Any way it’s sooo nice coming home and not needing to worry about Hair or makeup! Just outfit!
It’s been a good few years since I’ve been to Oysters and from what I could remember I knew the dessert was the main event for me!
I did feel there was quite a wait between being seated and getting our order taken, even though the craik was good, we were all STARVING!
For starters off course I went for the mushrooms, they were amazing! They were a good size and the garnish was nice. I was however a little confused to see raspberries and blueberries along with the garlic mayonnaise. But anyway it was on my plate so I ate it!
Then again there was quite a wait between courses, this was nice to get a bit of a breather in between and I do understand it was more about the experience and the night out, but it started to get on my wick!
Main course I went for the chef’s special fish of the day! It was lovely and really tasty! Just the right amount of food on my plate and was plated up to perfection!
Then on to the main event!! The dessert! So I went off the Malteser hot toffee meringue! Mmmmm this was amazing! And more than met my expectations!
All in all I had a great night out! And food was amazing and the company was even better! It’s so nice to get a nice evening out with friends to put you in good form!
